A Women's Disco, Pop & Rock Choir designed for Joy, Confidence & Connection
Sisters of Neon is more than a choir, it’s a weekly space for women to let go, have fun, meet incredible people, and reconnect with themselves through music.
We sing iconic disco, pop, and rock songs women already know and love in a relaxed, uplifting environment where connection matters just as much as the singing itself.
No auditions. No pressure. Just music, energy, laughter, and women coming together.
A chance to step away from the chaos of life and do something purely joyful for yourself.
Disco, pop, and rock songs that feel nostalgic, empowering, energetic, and fun to sing together.
Meet like-minded women, make new friendships, and become part of a supportive community.
You don’t need to read music or have any singing experience. Just bring yourself, a willingness to have fun, and we’ll guide you every step of the way.
There’s something powerful about singing in a room full of women who are all there for the same reason: to feel good.

“I signed up for the singing, but I stayed for the people.
What Anna and Sangeeta have created is so much more than a choir. It’s a warm, welcoming group of women who come together each week to sing, laugh, connect and have a good time. No pressure, no judgement. Just a lot of joy.
And somehow, no matter what kind of day you’ve had, you always leave feeling better than when you arrived.
One of the best things I’ve done this year.”
— Kris Richardson
“Our first performance in front of family and friends was an absolute blast.
Huge credit to Anna and Sangeeta for building our confidence and creating such a fun, supportive choir in such a short time. The energy was electric, the songs were fabulous, and the enthusiasm was contagious.
It’s not just about singing—it’s about friendship, encouragement and the joy of belting out pop, disco and rock classics together.
Thank you for making it all happen.”
— Louise Mackay
"I absolutely love being part of Sisters of Neon Choir. It’s a place where I feel genuinely welcomed, supported, and encouraged every single week. What started as joining a choir has become so much more; it’s a beautiful community of women who lift each other up, have fun, and share a love of music.
I have loved learning new songs, exploring different harmonies, and singing alongside such an amazing group of women. The friendships and connections I’ve made have been an unexpected blessing, and I always leave rehearsals feeling refreshed and inspired."

"Sisters of Neon is hands down one of the most fun and welcoming groups I’ve been part of for a long time! The energy, friendships, and laughter are just as special as the music. It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced singer or a complete beginner—everyone is made to feel welcome, supported, and included. Together we create something truly amazing, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. If you’re thinking about joining, do it—you won’t" regret it! 🎶💜

Anna is the founder of Wildfem and Merge Music, and the creative lead behind Sisters of Neon. She holds an Associate Degree in Music and an ATCL Teaching Diploma, and has spent decades working as a professional pianist, vocalist, arranger, choir director and music educator. Her career has included performing as a resident pianist and vocalist at Tasmania’s Country Club Casino, performing at weddings, events and venues throughout Tasmania, leading choirs, teaching in schools, and facilitating community music and wellbeing programs. Today, alongside her private teaching and co facilitation of another local Byron Bay choir The Material Girls, Anna arranges much of the Sisters of Neon repertoire and combines her piano expertise, creativity and passion for bringing women together to create a joyful, confidence-building choir experience that women genuinely look forward to each week.

Emilia brings a lifelong love of singing, performance and community to Sisters of Neon. After training at the Actors College of Theatre & Television (ACTT) and the Young Actors Studio at NIDA, she continued performing and singing with choirs while raising her family and working around Australia. Now based in the Northern Rivers, Emilia brings warmth, creativity and a genuine love of helping women connect through music. She is delighted to be part of the Sisters of Neon team and looks forward to creating joyful, uplifting experiences alongside Anna.

Zena has a lifelong love of music and performance, with extensive experience in musical theatre, including several leading roles. She trained with the Royal Opera House through a college production and had the honour of performing in front of Her Majesty The Queen in London’s West End. More recently, Zena has provided backing vocals for a studio band with music released on Spotify. She’s looking forward to helping us kick off the term - and admits she still does plenty of singing in the car! 🚗🎶🤣
Together Anna, Emilia and Zena create a vibrant, supportive, and uplifting environment where women can reconnect through music, friendship, confidence, and community.
